While I am generally blessed with relatively good skin, I have (seems like) always struggled with dark circles under my eyes.
So when a product promises to improve those pesky dark circles I am always sceptical… but hopeful.
And while I can’t really say that this eye cream completely cured my dark circles, I can definitely say that I could see a visible difference.
The product felt very nourishing, without being oily, and is quickly absorbed into your skin.
It is also infused with the real gold micro-particles, like the rest of the range, which adds to the ‘brightening’ effect, making the skin around your eyes look less dull and more revived.
I do not wear contacts, but I thought it quite impressive that they specify that this eye cream is suitable for contact lens wearers.
The Ponds Gold Radiance range can be found at department stores and pharmacies like Clicks or Dischem and the 15ml eye cream retails for around R190-00.
Final Thoughts: The only thing that would have made this eye cream a little better, is if they added an SPF… because the delicate skin around the eye is one of the first places where those sneaky little lines start to form, and quite often due to sun damage.
And even though this eye cream treats those fine lines, I’m a strong believer in prevention is better than cure 😉 But finding an eye cream with SPF is very rare…
